In a way, I'm excited that I only have two issues of The Claw to put in this portfolio because it means I get to create two more before my time as editor-in-chief is over. Don't tell the news site, but putting together The Claw is my favorite part of being on publications staff. Even last year, when I wasn't making nearly as many executive decisions as I am now, I always looked forward to early mornings and long nights dedicated to creating an issue.

I thought I'd include both of the issues published under my leadership so far for some context on what our magazine tries to do -- which is to inform and entertain the EHS community. Though only a few pages have my name on them, I'm proud to have led the brainstorming and budgeting processes for the entirety of these issues, as well as to have provided guidance in the reporting process and made final calls on all design choices.

I must credit my wonderful staff for all the hard work they put in. I would have nothing to be the editor of if they were not so committed to generating exceptional work. It's a privilege to sit down with them in the publications room every morning, first period, and create this magazine together. It's even more of an honor to hand it out to the rest of EHS with them by my side.

Please note that the first issue below, the October issue, is a profile-themed one. Profile pages have colorful backgrounds to set them apart from normal stories.
